Huey Games has announced a new level of interactivity in gaming with Microsoft’s Mixer technology applied to Hyper Sentinel, on sale from May the 11th.

Mixer Mode in Hyper Sentinel allows viewers to interact with livestreams of the game, without owning it, in a never-before-seen level of depth. Viewers can now directly attack, or perhaps attempt to save, their favourite streamers in-game and in real time, creating the first ever Interactive Livestream Arcade game.

In Hyper Sentinel, Mixer interactive viewers can launch devastating real-time attacks as a member of the Attackers team, or deliver epic power-ups and weapon upgrades as a member of the Defenders team. Viewers can even take full control of a kamikaze “Mixeroid” enemy using an onscreen joystick to chase down the streamer!

Featuring 60fps, hyperactive arcade gameplay, Hyper Sentinel Mixer mode is the ultimate fusion of cutting-edge livestream multiplayer technology with classic, pick-up-and-play action.

“We’re thrilled to be offering a completely new experience to gamers around the world by enabling Mixer Mode in this unique way,” said Rob Hewson, CEO and Creative Director, Huey Games. “Streaming, and watching others stream, is rapidly becoming the way audiences enjoy gaming content and with Hyper Sentinel gamers now have a brand new layer of interactive awesomeness to add to that.”

“We have a wide variety of amazing Mixer-enabled games coming up that will bridge the gap between streamers and their audience,” said Sebastian Grinke, Mixer’s Design Director at Microsoft. “We’re thrilled to be working with the team creating Hyper Sentinel to offer an unprecedented way for gamers to play and interact with their favorite content.”

Hyper Sentinel will have Mixer Mode enabled at launch on May 11th on compatible platforms. Hyper Sentinel will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Steam and Nintendo Switch. You can pre-order the game through the following links – Steam, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
