On the Road again

The Road to this years Celtic Throwdown will begin soon and it will begin in Mullingar. That’s right folks the home of One Direction’s Niall Horan is the setting of the first showdown for the Celtic Throwdown.

From March 31st gamers in Mullingar have the opportunity to make their mark in the esports arena followed by 4 online qualifiers and a last chance qualifier at Celtic Throwdown. That’s right this is your opportunity to start your journey with FIFA 19 and go up against everyone so that you can prove you are the best there ever was!

What makes this all the more thrilling is this will be streamed across Twitch so every victory you have will be immortalised to show off to all your friends. The Republic of Players will also be there so if you’ve wanted to meet them now is your chance 🙂

Celtic Throwdown

Check out the rules below so that you understand all you need to know.

Rules

  • Pick any club team (both players can pick the same team)
  • No All-Star or Fantasy Teams
  • All Formations Allowed
  • Tactical Defending mode only
  • All tournaments are Single elimination
  • Bring your own controller
  • Top 3 places will qualify for Live Finals at Celtic Throwdown on August 31st.
  • The draw will take place to determine the seeding position
  • Physical abuse, fighting or any threatening action or threatening language, directed at any Player, spectator, official or any other person is prohibited.
  • Abuse to game stations, controllers or any tournament equipment is prohibited.
  • Any action that interferes with the play of a game, including but not limited to purposely breaking a game station, interfering with power, and abuse of in-game pausing, is prohibited.
  • All directions from the TO must be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in instant dismissal without refund.
  • There is an over 12’s age restriction for eligibility for any of the online qualifying event, the Last chance qualifier and also the finals.
  • At the Celtic Throwdown LCQ and Live Finals, under 18’s will require a guardian to be present for groups up to 4. This person must attend the event as a spectator as we do not accept responsibility for underage players.
