Mega Man 11

The first new Mega Man game in years is coming to  Xbox One, PS4, and Switch on October 2nd. Ahead of its release, Capcom has dropped a demo of the game, available now across all platforms. This Mega Man 11 demo sees the titular character team up with his trusty robot dog, Rush, and take on Block Man. Beating this formidable foe also contributes towards the “Bust Block Man” community event. If Block Man is busted enough, then players can receive a set of unique single-use items for their retail copy of Mega Man 11. Simply bust him up, then shout out #BustBlockMan on social media. Keep up with the community progress through the official Mega Man social channels.

How Mega are we talking here?

Mega Man 11 takes up the classic formula we all know and love. Players will jump, slide, and shoot through each stage, culminating in a pitched battle against that stages Robot Master. When the boss falls, you gain their power, and with it, new abilities. The game is beautifully hand-drawn. Mega Man leaps and bounds in fluid animation, the stages seem dense, and ripe for exploration. Fans of the franchise will lap this up, but more-so, Capcom will hope to reach a new generation with Mega Man 11. Its fun, it’s colourful, it’s a side-scrolling shooter-platformer, and your sidekick is a robot dog. What’s not to love?

Mega Trailer

You can check out the new trailer that dropped yesterday below. Released to coincide with the demo’s release, the trailer shows off another new Robot Master. Introducing… Bounce Man! Facing off against Mega Man at the end of his “Boing-Boing Park” stage, this former exercise instructor will stretch Mega Man to his limits! Mega Man 11 will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on October 2nd. Though, it will only be available as a digital download in Europe.
