Marvelous Europe has announced that the definitive version of the Nihon Falcom-developed RPG, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, is now available for the PlayStation 4 both digitally, and physically in selected retailers, within Europe and Australia.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel gives players the chance to follow the activities of Thors Military Academy’s specialized “Class VII” on the PlayStation 4. This new console release boasts additional features not found in the previous console releases including improved visuals.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on the PlayStation 4 will include the option for dual voice-overs for the first time in the series’ history on console, allowing players to enjoy either the original Japanese voices or the critically-acclaimed English voices for each of the games’ myriad characters. Other new features designed for returning players include a turbo mode option that speeds up the adventure and 5,000+ additional English audio lines that were previously available only in the PC version of the game.

Finally, as a reminder, downloadable content previously released for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita will come pre-bundled in this PlayStation 4 version of the game. Additionally, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners will be able to transfer their save game data to this PlayStation 4 version of the game.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is now available both digitally and physically for the PlayStation 4, with a standard physical version available at selected retailers across Europe.

A physical Limited Edition known as the Decisive Edition is also available exclusively from the Marvelous Games store.
