Hot off the press, Frontier Developments has announced the contents of their eagerly awaited newest DLC, Planet Zoo: South America. Over the last week or so, Frontier has teased new content coming soon on their Twitter, and fans have been frothing at the mouth to find out just what’s in store.
That said, let’s get down to business. Firstly, five new animals will be available to players, ranging from all over Earth’s 4th largest continent. These animals are (drum roll please); Jaguar, Llama, Capuchin Monkey, Giant Anteater, and the Red-Eyed Tree Frog. Certainly, many players (including myself) have been looking forward to Jaguars and Llamas since the game launched. Iconic animals, one and all.
New Buildings!
In addition to this, 250+ new scenery pieces will be introduced with Planet Zoo: South America. Judging by the trailer, it looks like most or all of these scenery pieces are focused around rainforests and an ancient Aztec / Mayan aesthetic. I can’t wait to build my own jungle temple complex… And to watch those terrifying, black-eyed guests get lost inside, never to be found again. Er, I mean, explore, of course.
While our very own Jade here at GamEir is disappointed by the lack of sloths in this DLC, the rest of us can’t wait to get our paws stuck into the thick, steamy jungles of Planet Zoo: South America. Read more on Frontier’s official announcement.
Frontier recently announced that their staff are expected to work from home for the foreseeable future. As such, we are delighted to see they’re still releasing content.
