The iconic Project Zero Maiden of Black Water has officially been announced for a remaster! This is in time for the 20th anniversary. Originally, Maiden of Black Water was a Wii U exclusive. However, this time around, it will be available across the board. There aren’t enough words to express how excited I am for this game.

Not only was the original game a Wii U exclusive, but it was also a Japan-exclusive at launch. It took an extra year for a worldwide launch. So, this game is super rare and expensive. All hail KOEI TECMO. Thank you for bringing this back!

So, let’s have a quick rundown of what this game actually is. Welcome to the eerie Mt. Hikami, a sacred location haunted by bizarre and unfortunate occurrences. It is also a place where the water is believed to house vengeful spirits.

There are three protagonists, Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki. Each will have to rely on just a flashlight and a unique camera – the Camera Obscura – with the ability to take pictures of ghosts, as they explore the mountain to find those who have disappeared. Will players be able to repel the deadly ghosts and uncover the mysteries surrounding Mt. Hikami?
