PAX West has followed close on the heels of Gamescom. With this, of course, come shiny new trailers. Developers are, at this stage, drumming up all possible anticipation for their fall/winter release window. Warner Bros. Interactive and IO Interactive have now dropped a new trailer for upcoming stealth-em-up HITMAN 2.
The trailer shows off a previously unseen location for Agent 47 to snap necks in: the jungles of Colombia. This new setting will put players directly in the heart of a dark and dangerous South American rainforest. This new HITMAN 2 – Colombia trailer shows off the sheer density, and inherent claustrophobia, of operating in a rainforest environment. There is hardly an inch of the landscape that isn’t covered in thick foliage. We can envisage this giving Agent 47 plenty of assassination opportunities, while also offering its own set of problems:
- Visibility will be severely restricted
- Movement will be slowed to a crawl
- Long range sightlines for sniping will be nigh on impossible
- Clear escape routes will be hard to come by
- Environmental threats may well scupper your best laid plans
HITMAN 2 also introduces the Sniper Assassin mode. This will allow players to co-op missions online, taking out targets together. Sounds almost romantic to me… Sniper Assassin is available to play now as an early access bonus for customers who pre-order HITMAN 2. Players can also enter the HITMAN: Sniper Assassin Competition and put their marksman skills to the ultimate test for a chance to win the grand prize of getting their name and likeness included in future HITMAN 2 content. For more information, visit: https://hitman.com/en-GB/competition.
HITMAN 2 will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC from 13th November. With Miami, and now Colombia confirmed, they’re fairly diversifying the locations for Agent 47. All the more ways to kill you, my dear…
