Dive deep into the new trailer for Sunken Realms

After 6 years in development, Magic Puncher Games has announced that Sunken Realms, a focused ARPG dungeon crawler with rogue-lite elements, will descend onto Steam on September 18th. To celebrate, a new trailer has been revealed.

Decades ago, the underground city of Aedaria was cursed by the gods and fell into darkness. Since then, it has lain undisturbed by man, nearly forgotten. The cursed city is said to swallow anyone foolish enough to pass its gates. Alric’s father went looking for the truth beyond them years ago. He never came back. Now it’s Alric’s turn, and over 10,000 players have already wishlisted the game to find out what he uncovers.

Battle enemies and craft new gear as you master forgotten spells and descend deeper into the ruins than anyone before you.

“The game that inspired me to make my own was Outward,” said Brad Warren, the solo developer behind Magic Puncher Games. “It has such a feeling of adventure and the wide unknown that I haven’t quite felt anywhere else. Sunken Realms went in its own direction over time, but I hope it kept that same spirit.” That spirit carries through the game today, alongside the storytelling influence of Hades and the sense of adventure found in The Legend of Zelda.

About the Game

Decades ago, the great underground city of Aedaria was cursed by the gods and fell into darkness. It’s said to swallow anyone foolish enough to pass its gates, nearly forgotten by all but the adventurers still drawn by dreams of riches and the unknown. Among them is Alric, searching for the truth about what happened to his father.
