Hold on to your nuts, as Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure lands on PC and console this Autumn. Take control of everybody’s favourite calamitous squirrel, as he quests to retrieve his beloved acorn!

Get ready to visit a host of classic Ice Age locations, where you’ll jump from icicle to icicle, ride raging geysers, leap across burning lava, and reach for impossible heights, all with Scrat’s hilarious slapstick acrobatics. You might even spot some familiar Ice Age friends along the way!

This 3d action-adventure will undoubtedly appeal to fans of the Ice Age franchise. There’s little in the way of game-play information, although the attached images do highlight some of the games various locales. Given that Scrat is, generally, the comic highlight of any Ice Age movie, we should expect a large dose of slapstick humour. Exploration, meanwhile, will play a big part, as Scrat seeks to find key artifacts, and unlock new, and better, abilities.

Let’s Get Nuts!

Outright Games are publishing Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure, with Just Add Water Ltd. developing. You might know J.A.W. Ltd. as the team behind the HD Abe’s Odyssey titles, or the quite excellent Micro Machine World Series. Publisher Outright Games are specialists in bringing family entertainment franchises to the gaming world. They have previously released games for Ben 10, Hotel Transylvania, and Adventure Time, to name but a few. We can but hope Scrat’s magic will transition well to his first video game outing, and Outright Games CEO Terry Malham seems sure it will:

…we worked to capture the fan-favorite qualities of Scrat… With slapstick acrobatics and thrilling in-game obstacles, this game will plunge fans into the ‘Ice Age’ world for a whirlwind adventure unlike any other.

Ice Age: Scrat’s Nutty Adventure will release worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in Autumn 2019.
