Publisher The Arcade Crew has announced with developer Hibernian Workshop that Dark Devotion, the engrossing adventure through a grim, mysterious temple teeming with dangerous secrets, will welcome brave warriors through its foreboding doors on April 25th on PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Bundle for £17.49. The challenging side-scrolling action game will also reach consoles at a later date.
Though a treacherous journey awaits those searching for divine recognition, The Arcade Crew has prepared an introduction to Dark Devotion’s brooding world to help players prepare for their destined battles and revelations. Enduring the temple’s trials will require flawless reflexes, keen intuition and a steeled determination, as the threats explored in this video are only a sampling of the horrors lying ahead
The sprawling, dilapidated temple in Dark Devotion takes adventurers through a twisted environment rife with mystery where they’ll encounter scores of dangerous foes slinking within the shadows. Combat is deliberately paced and weighty, making mistakes feel impactful and every looting of scarce supplies a relief in this tormenting labyrinth partially inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
In Dark Devotion, faith is more than just a guiding light; it’s a precious resource demanded by an unappeasable God who is happy to watch you struggle against its most loyal Templars.
