Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has revealed two new characters to join the Jump Force roster, Himura Kenshin and Shishio Makoto from the iconic manga ‘Rurouni Kenshin’.

A tale of two blades

Himura Kenshin is a wandering masterless samurai. Despite his small stature and humble nature, he once worked as an assassin for the government. After growing tired of this life filled with death, he vowed to never kill again and to make amends for his previous sins, now, fighting only to protect and defend the weak.

The second character announced is, Shishio Makoto, one of Kenshin’s strongest foes. His entire body is covered with bandages due to gruesome burns but, despite these old wounds, he is still an extremely ruthless and dangerous enemy. Caring little for others, he will stop at nothing in order to achieve his goals.

I’m not a fan of Rurouni Kenshin but I have heard amazing things about the anime. Not only that I’ve heard it’s one of the few anime to translate fairly well to live action. There is a trilogy of Rurouni Kenshin films which are beloved by the fans of the anime/manga.  What’s funny is these two are not new to the Jump Force franchise of games. No, no I got to wield the blades of these legendary swordsmen in J-Stars Victory VS. I adored them in that I’m fairly certain I’ll enjoy them once again here.

Stay tuned to GamEir for more character reveals and locales for Jump Force.
