GamEir was on hand at Dublin Games Festival 2018 in the RDS, checking out the local Indie gaming talent. And what a group of hot tasty young devs we found!

Brian drools over some devs

They were a bunch of absolute dreamboats! They’re also all working on some very interesting and unique games. Which is just how we like our indie talent.

In our first interview, we caught up with Thiago Amaro of Electronic Motion Games. EM is currently developing Altero – a standout puzzle platformer, with a “, die to progress” twist and a very distinguishable art style.

Altero is a sad brain teasing puzzle-platform game where you need to learn how and when to sacrifice yourself in order to overcome the obstacles

Help Adi, a cursed voodoo doll, to find his redemption by diving deep in the sorrow forest and understand the true meaning of his life and death.

– Beautiful art style with an intriguing storyline
– Emotional soundtrack
– Co-Op mode for two local players
– Brain-teasing puzzles

Find out more about Altero at or follow Electronic Motion Games @emgamesofficial on Twitter. Let us know how you got on at Dublin Games Festival this year and did you see Brian at all? Stay tuned to GamEir for more interviews from Dublin Games Festival.
