The first trailer for season 3 of Castlevania has just hit the internet and it looks like there is a lot more brutality and blood in store for the gang.

The Netflix animated hit followed Dracula in the first two seasons as he waged war against humanity for the brutal execution of his wife. In the first season, we were introduced to Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha (Alejandra Reynoso) as they tried to do battle against Dracula and his forces with the aid of his son Alucard (James Callis).

The first season was decent with some astonishing animation but the second season ramped it up quite high with the introduction of Dracula’s generals and other notable characters from the lore of the game franchise. The second season also ended on an incredibly high note.

Castlevania Season 3 is on its way

Now with this first trailer we see new characters, new locations and it looks like there is a power vacuum left in the wake of the season 2 finale. It looks like everyone is grasping for power and with new diabolical creatures showing up Trevor, Sylpha and Alucard will have their hands full.

Now there is one question I had as I watched this trailer. When will Dante show up? You may not know this but Adi Shankar showrunner of Castlevania announced after the end of season 2 that Devil May Cry would join Castlevania on Netflix in his “Bootleg Multiverse”. Not only that further research has shown that Assassin’s Creed is coming to Netflix as well which could mean the assassins could be joining the demon slayer and the immortal vampire. This could be one hell of a connected franchise.
