WitcherCon happened this past week and with it came a glut of information on everyone’s favourite monster hunter. We learned about some new game content, got to sit down with the cast and heard from the man himself on what we can expect from season 2 of The Witcher.

Speaking on what to expect from season 2 of The Witcher fans were given a delightful teaser trailer. This teaser trailer showcased a lot of action and potentially upcoming sorrow. What was on show, that I was very excited to see was Geralt’s brothers in arms.

Witchers, Witchers, and more Witchers!

Eskel, Lambert and Vesemir were shown in this latest trailer. Not only that we got to see Kaer Morhen the home of the Witchers. I was so happy to see these besties of Geralt’s. Having played the third title I grew surprisingly attached to them so seeing them hear was great. As well as that we get to see what looks like the beginning of Ciri’s training. The main reason of course is that she must learn to protect herself and hone her abilities or the whole world could fall to ruin.

Keen-eyed fans will likely have seen Jaskier in a brief moment singing loudly and proudly so hopefully that means Geralt and him are back together. Then the trailer ended with quite the tease, the return of Yennefer and she’s under Nilfgaard’s oppressive thumb.

This is very exciting especially with the release date of December 17th. That’s right before Christmas, so we’re getting a lovely present from Lauren Schmidt Hissrich this year.
