Cronos: The New Dawn rises on September 5th!

Riding high off the immense success of their Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team’s newest original game is almost here. Cronos: The New Dawn!  Announced at a recent Nintendo Direct, this third-person sci-fi horror shooter will release on September 5th, adding the Switch 2 to its supported platforms. With an amazing Soviet inspired retro-futuristic setting with brutal combat to complement the brutalist architecture, this title looks to satisfy fans of games like Dead Space and Resident Evil 4.

If you don’t dispose of enemy bodies in a timely fashion, they’ll merge with other bodies to create a stronger enemy, so fans of squishy body horror like The Thing will find their happy place here. A sci-fi horror with time-travelling back to 80s Poland? This is clearly going to have true narrative ambition, so Bloober’s recent pedigree in remaking one of the greatest narrative video games ever can’t help but give one confidence in this project.

Cronos: The New Dawn launches on September 5th on macOS, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.Pre-orders are open now with a standard and deluxe version available, each with a myriad of in-game goodies such as extra ammo, costumes, a digital artbook and soundtrack, as well as 48 hours of early access for the deluxe version.
