Fans of walking rejoice! At a panel at this year’s SXSW Hideo Kojima debuted a barnstormer of a trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, finally revealing that the release date is mere months away! This stunning ten-minute-long trailer showcases the incredible new environments Sam will traverse as his quest to unite the people of the American continent takes him to entirely new biomes. The threat of a new cult-like faction, the return of previous antagonist Higgs (now looking like the Joker) and enormous new B.T. monsters all promise high stakes for this sequel.

Life’s a Beach

New cast members such as the incredible Luca Marinelli look to be the new sinister super soldier channelling Solid Snake and God of War’s Alistair Duncan also join the star-studded cast. Baby Lou, now free from her containment pod looks to be the target of a sinister plot so players will have to use all of the new transportation equipment and high-tech weaponry to conquer these vast landscapes and defeat a wide variety of enemies. Dynamic weather and natural disasters will add a new element of danger to your routes in case you are worried about things becoming too predictable!

Multiple pre-order packages will be available shortly for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, with physical and digital goodies for all the Strand-heads who need a fix of merch. Hopefully, anyone having these delivered will have an easier time than Sam but until this game launches, we’ll be delivering updates as we get them!
