DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO producer Jun Furutani has revealed more details about the game’s mechanics in a new video.

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO brings back and enhances gameplay elements that the franchise has been known and cherished for, making battles even more spectacular, faster, impressive and authentic to the anime. Evolved features such as “Skill Count”, “Revenge Counter” and “Vanishing Assaults” have been added, giving chances for players to counterattack their foes, and add more strategy to their fights.

That’s not all folks, there’s more to come for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO

The new trailer also unveils 11 new characters joining the battle. This time centred on the constant discussion of Speed vs. Power:

  • Super Trunks
  • Master Roshi, Max Power
  • Nappa
  • Burter
  • Jeice
  • Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power)
  • Hit
  • Super Saiyan Kale (Berserk)
  • Toppo
  • Dyspo
  • Kakunsa

It’s going to be interesting to see who else joins the roster. Maybe we’ll get some weird left-field characters. Hopefully, Tarble makes an appearance. Just imagine what that weak little Saiyan boy would do. He’d be the new Hercule-style joke character and it would be amazing. I just hope that Arale doesn’t show up. That terrifying powerhouse was always at the centre of upsets in my bouts with my friends. She probably will though and I will have to ban her from all subsequent battles.

Who are you excited to see join the cast? Any weird out there characters that you want to see do battle in this latest Dragon Ball title?

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is developed by Spike Chunsoft for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
