After becoming one of Steam Next Fest’s top games last year, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is taking its mythical mayhem from demo to Early Access on February 12th.
This class-core multiplayer epic blends RPG progression and crafting with MMO PvP to create an Extraction title like no other, revolutionising the genre and bringing it to a high fantasy world. With everything from ogres to magic users, nimble rogues and great weapon-wielding warriors, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery is the definitive multiplayer fantasy setting players have longed for.
Players can play solo, join powerful teams of up to three players or create their own adventuring parties and set out into the world of Mithrigarde. It’s not all about combat – their task will be to recover forgotten treasures, scavenge for supplies and make it back to base without losing any of their precious loot along the way. Monsters can lurk around every corner, and they won’t be the only ones tearing up the forgotten kingdom looking for plunder as other teams will also be scouring the landscape. Will they become the predators or will they escape as unseen prey? The time to find out is nigh!
Inspired by 14 years of working on World of Warcraft, the team left Blizzard to create a fantasy setting of their own. They set out to create something that players had never seen before, starting their work on Legacy long before the rise of the Extraction genre. Together, they crafted a world that values looting, levelling and exploring just as much as PvP combat.
After several successful closed alpha tests, Legacy: Steel & Sorcery will launch into Early Access this month for a base price of $24.99. With the help of player feedback, the team will continue to alter the meta of the game, adding new classes like the Wizard, Paladin and so much more along the way.
