Rocket League has officially gone free-to-play, and to celebrate, Epic Games is hosting a crossover event with Fortnite. So, what is this event? The event itself is called Llama-Rama, but what does it entail?
To kick off Llama-Rama, Rocket League fan-favourite DJ Slushii will be closing out the Fortnite Presents: Spotlight series with a performance at the Party Royale. Players can listen in through Radio Yonder in-game. Rocket League players are set to instantly recognise the track “LUV U NEED U”, which is also an in-game track. DJ Slushii’s performance will be live on Saturday, September 26th at 10pm Irish Time (5pm EST). Rebroadcasts are scheduled for 4am (11pm EST, 26th) and 6pm (1pm EST) on Sunday, September 27th.
There will also be challenge rewards for both Fortnite and Rocket League players. As Llama-Rama challenges are completed in Rocket League, players will unlock Fortnite themed items. In the same respect, Fortnite players will get Rocket League themed items through the same challenges.
There are five challenges, and rewards can be redeemed online. For Rocket League players, this is through the Rocket League Event Challenge Page. For Fortnite players, challenge rewards are redeemed after logging into Fortnite. The challenges are completed in Rocket League specifically, but you do not need to claim anything in Fortnite to get your items. If you complete challenges but don’t collect your rewards at the time, never fret! All items will be auto-claimed upon event end, October 12th.
