Warner Bros. Games and DC premiered an all-new gameplay trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG in development by Warner Bros. Games Montréal. The video showcases new gameplay and custom cutscenes of Batgirl, aka Barbara Gordon.
Fighting crime is in her blood
A highly trained fighter and expert computer coder and hacker, Batgirl brings both brawn and brains to the team of knights. Using her signature weapon, the tonfa, along with a fierce combination of kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu, Batgirl can swiftly take down powerful foes twice her size. With dangers new and old on the horizon, Batgirl is more determined than ever to keep Gotham safe and protect the city from falling into chaos.
Getting to have Bruce’s first set of kids available is exciting to see in Gotham Knights. Each of these characters is an icon in their own right and to see them all together will hopefully live up to the hype. Batgirl has one of the most interesting stories within the Batfamily and it’ll be interesting to see where she is in her career in this game.
Now, what will the future hold for Gotham Knights? Will other children and allies of Batman become playable down the line? Will Damian show up? Perhaps Cassandra? The sky is the limit, after all, for such a loner, Batman has a lot of adopted children.
