Long in development from a project that started as a one-person project, Lost Soul Aside now has a firm release date! This action RPG comes from Playstation’s China Hero Project initiative and developer Yang Bing who had started this project a decade ago. As protagonist Kazer uses a variety of shape-shifting weapons and his sidekick dragon Arena to pull off combos, the Devil May Cry and newer Final Fantasy inspirations are clear, especially in the high-speed dodging and juggling emphasis in combat.

Though a strong sci-fi setting is evident, you’ll be exploring multiple dimensions which seems to promise a wide variety of places to visit. With giant boss battles, platforming challenges and customisable load-outs for combat variation, Lost Soul Aside looks to be adding to the rich library of international titles on the PlayStation platform, like Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin before it.

Preorders begin for Lost Soul Aside on February 19th, with standard and digital deluxe editions available. The deluxe includes a digital artbook and soundtrack as well as multiple in-game goodies such as skins and early weapon unlocks. A physical edition will be available also so collectors rejoice!
