2K and Marvel Entertainment have revealed the release date for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. That’s right folks Marvel’s Midnight Suns will launch on October 7th. A spooky time for a spooky game. Created by Firaxis Games, the legendary studio behind the critically-acclaimed, world-renowned Civilization and XCOM franchises, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is an all-new tactical RPG set in the darker side of the Marvel Universe.
The game will be available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It’s a shame it isn’t available at the same time on the Nintendo Switch but it will be down the line.
If you’d like to the game is available to pre-order now.
Hordes of demons versus heroes
When the demonic Lilith and her fearsome horde unite with the evil armies of Hydra, it’s time to unleash Marvel’s dark side. As The Hunter, your mission is to lead an unlikely team of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors to victory.
Can legends such as Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing apocalyptic threat? If you’re going to save the world, you’ll have to forge alliances and lead the team into battle as the legendary Midnight Suns – Earth’s last line of defence against the underworld.
On top of this announcement the team also released a brand new cinematic trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Check out the new trailer below to learn more.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns and their marvellous editions?
If you’re interested there are four editions to choose from. These will give you little in my opinion. The biggest difference is they will allow you to play on the enhanced consoles. One edition has a large collection of skins but it may not be worth the cost. Check out the details below:
- The Standard Edition will be available for £59.99/€69.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes the base game;
- The Enhanced Edition will be available for £64.99/€74.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It includes a next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles and five premium cosmetic skins;
- The Digital+ Edition will be available for £69.99/€74.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 11 premium cosmetic skins. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S SKUs include the next-gen optimized version of the game for next-gen consoles;
- The Legendary Edition will be available for £89.99/€99.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes 23 premium cosmetic skins, as well as access to the post-launch Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass.
Now all these prices are suggested from 2K. What this means is they could go up or go down. Honestly, though they probably won’t change. Marvel’s Midnight Suns looks like a lot of fun. The idea is novel and the pedigree behind the game is strong. The main issue I have is the price as well as the season pass. How incomplete is this game? It might be a game I’ll wait until the complete edition is available then I’ll play it. After all, I’ve always wanted to fight a demonic Hulk.
