Red Dead Redemption 2
The newest trailer has arrived for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it features quite a bit of info indeed. This is the third trailer released for the game, which was announced back in 2016.
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed
The game follows protagonist Arthur Morgan as he and the Van der Linde gang are on the run from the law. Set over a decade before the events of Red Dead Redemption, this prequel will take in some of the same areas from the original, but also expand out to newer and wilder lands.
The Trailer
The trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 shows off a number of interesting things. We get a good look at Dutch Van der Linde and his gang, and we see the game’s antagonist, who bears a striking resemblance to legendary actor Pete Postlethwaite. What will stick out for most people, however, is the glimpse we get of young John Marston. The first game’s protagonist makes an appearance sporting fresh facial scars with a knife at his throat. Classic Marston really.
We can also glean some gameplay aspects from the trailer. This story’s main character, Arthur Morgan, is seen getting in a bare-knuckle brawl, dual wielding pistols and using a bow and arrow. Fist fighting, gambling, and robbery may well be main features of the game, as Arthur Morgan doesn’t seem as conscientious as Marston did in the first game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out the newest trailer below for some delightful Wild West action.
