The Enhanced Edition of Firesprite’s critically acclaimed rogue-lite survival horror title, The Persistence has dropped for PlayStation 5 and PC.  The game is also set to hit XBOX Series X|S. However, this has been delayed. The Persistence Enhanced dials up the atmosphere and tension further with improved lighting and particle effects.

Raytracing ‘Quality’ mode has been added for the PlayStation 5. This will also be available for XBOX Series X|S. On the PlayStation 5 front, it also includes immersive haptic feedback via DualSense.  Enhancements also extend to PC, alongside Raytracing via DXR and NVIDIA DLSS, specifically implemented for supported RTX cards.

The Persistence began with PSVR back in 2018. It came PS4, Xbox One, and Steam a little over a year ago. With the latest update, the developers have aimed to stay true to their original vision for the game. Now, with the newest technology and update, the full potential can be successfully tapped into.

The Persistence Enhanced will be available as a standalone paid digital download. However, it will also be a free upgrade for existing owners of The Persistence on PlayStation 4, Xbox and Steam. Publishing partner, Perpetual Games will be releasing a PlayStation 5 boxed edition at retail stores in Europe only. The XBOX Series X|S release date will be announced at a later stage.
