Headup’s first in-house production, Tinkertown, has arrived on Steam Early Access. With Tinkertown, the company is realizing a design idea which has been floating in their heads since the beginning of their partnership with Re-Logic which produced the PC Collector’s Edition of Terraria. They wanted to create a cheerful sandbox game in the aesthetics of the old 16bit RPGs but with modern game development, visual effects and online multiplayer.
A magical place awaits filled with loot, danger, and creativity. Build your own village – from small shacks to impressive castles and townships. The world is procedurally generated, and resources can be gathered as you go along. There are also sinister dungeons, with epic loot hidden within. All this can be done solo or with friends!
This game is looking really cute so far and is in a nice position. I like Early Access games (when they aren’t expensive). It’s a great way for devs to interact with the community heads on and really take feedback on board. Really looking forward to seeing how this one pans out.
