WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, the dark fantasy horror FPS powered by the original Quake engine from publishers 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment and developer KillPixel Games, unleashes chaos and sneaks on to Steam Early Access with no previous release date announcement.
Untold horrors lurk amongst the ancient crypts and ruins of the Old World. Delve into corrupted temples and haunted forests to hunt down the Guardians responsible for this lands devastation.
The Early Access launch introduces the first of three non-linear hubs and two full levels rife with both monstrosities and secrets. Deal death with traditional weapons such as the double-barreled shotgun and coach gun revolver, or harvest bits and bones from fallen foes to fuel organic firepower like the Fangspitter.
“At 3D Realms we want to evoke nostalgia from the golden era of gaming using classic FPS engines, but with a modern twist, said Frederik Schreiber, Vice President of 3D Realms and Producer on WRATH. With the incredible Quake engine as our vessel and developer Jeremiah ߢKillPixelߣ Fox at the helm, shooter fans are in for a twisted ride.”
Fans can get their first taste of WRATH: Aeon of Ruin for PC on Steam Early Access for $24.99 / €20,99 /£19,99 including a 5% launch discount with an additional 10% through the WRATH – Ion Fury Steam bundle. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow in 2020.
