Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 has infiltrated modern gaming platforms!

Kept you waiting, huh? That’s right, after a whopping 18 years, Metal Gear Solid 4 has finally found a way to sneak off of the PS3 and onto modern formats! After almost two decades, fans of the series who never owned that system can finally see how Solid Snake’s story concludes.

As part of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2, it will come to Switch 1|2, PS5, XSX, & PC. Joining it is the PSP title Peace Walker and the long-missing Game Boy exclusive Ghost Babel! For fans of tactical espionage action, this is a truly incredible package. MGS4 will have improved resolution and performance, Peace Walker will include its online coop and versus modes and Ghost Babel will feature a suite of modern retro gaming features such as screen filters and rewinding options. Screenplays, master books and soundtracks are also included as per the first volume.

Additionally, a final update for Volume 1 was announced, improving resolution across the board as well as adding some extra firepower for players on the Switch 2. Volume 1 and MGS3: Delta will also be on sale, so players can celebrate this good news by diving back into the fray! Excitingly, the tone of the announcement was that of an ongoing project, so fans of Revengeance, Acid, Portable Ops and V can live in hope that soon the entire series will be available on modern platforms!

The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 2 is available for pre-order now, with some cosmetic bonuses offered. MGS4 and Peace Walker can also be purchased separately.
