The Witcher family is back together again! Production for The Witcher Season 3 has begun with its leading cast Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg) and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra).
The Witcher Season 3 Synopsis
As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.
It is exciting to see our favourite family of Netflix back (at least they’re close to mine after the Bridgertons). After the reveal of The Wild Hunt last season and what dangers are likely ahead for Ciri it’s going to be exciting to see dad Geralt help her achieve her destiny.
Also with the appearance of Ciri’s father audiences may see the climactic battle of father versus father in The Witcher. Is it a strange theme? Yes, but this series is full of oddities and I love them.
